FIAMM is an Italian battery maker, founded in 1942 near Vicenza, that supplies European car makers and the replacement market. About FIAMM batteries
Italian batteries for European cars
FIAMM was founded in 1942 in Montecchio Maggiore, in the Veneto region of northern Italy, and is still headquartered there. For most of its history it was a family company. It later passed to Japanese ownership, and since December 2025 it has belonged to the investment group Aurelius. In the trade FIAMM is known for two things: starter batteries for European cars and, for older drivers, the horns that carried the same name.
FIAMM's start-stop range is called ecoFORCE. It comes in AGM and in AFB, which is FIAMM's term for an enhanced flooded battery, the same idea other brands label EFB. For conventional cars there is Titanium Pro and Titanium Black. In Dubai the brand makes most sense for small and mid-size European cars that do short trips around JBR and the Marina, a Fiat 500 or Peugeot 208 for example, where the correct European case size matters more than outright capacity.

FIAMM batteries: common questions
What is AFB on a FIAMM battery? Is it the same as EFB?
In practice, yes. AFB stands for advanced flooded battery and is FIAMM's name for the technology most brands call EFB. It is a reinforced flooded battery for cars with basic start-stop. If your old battery says EFB, a FIAMM ecoFORCE AFB of the same size is the equivalent.
Is FIAMM a sensible match for my Fiat?
It is a natural one. FIAMM is an Italian maker and its range covers the case sizes Fiat uses, including the compact ones. What matters most is matching the technology: a Fiat with start-stop needs ecoFORCE, and one without can take Titanium.
Can I get a FIAMM battery fitted today?
