The car won't start and the children need to be at school. What is the quickest way to get help?
Message or call with the Meadows number, street and villa, and the car's make and model. The drive from JBR is usually 12 to 24 minutes. A jump start gets you moving if the battery can take it, and it is tested properly afterwards so you know whether it will start again at pick-up time.
Do I need to arrange a visitor pass at the Meadows gate?
There is no paper pass to collect. The guard asks the driver which villa he is visiting and may ring the house. If nobody answers, the van can be kept waiting, so keep a phone nearby or leave word with the guard when you call us.
Our second car is only used at weekends and the battery is flat again. Should it be replaced?
Test it first. A battery that has gone flat once or twice from standing can still be healthy. One that has been fully drained many times loses capacity and will keep letting you down. The reading tells you which, and if the battery is still good, driving the car midweek is the fix.
