1. About these terms and who we are

JBR Battery is a mobile car battery testing, jump start and replacement service based in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean JBR Battery, and "you" means the customer or website visitor.

We are an independent service. We are not an authorised dealer, agent or representative of any car maker or battery brand. Car and battery brand names appear on this website only to describe the batteries we supply and the vehicles they are compatible with.

2. Our services

We test car batteries, jump start cars and fit replacement batteries where the car is parked, in JBR and nearby areas of Dubai. The service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Fridays and public holidays.

We also arrange other garage services, such as mechanical repairs, AC work, tyres, bodywork, towing and recovery. These are carried out through partner workshops and recovery operators, as described below. All services depend on stock, technician availability and safe access to the vehicle.

3. Quotes and confirmation

We give you a quote by WhatsApp or phone, based on the car details you provide. The quote is confirmed with you before the technician sets off. A job is booked once you confirm the quote and the location by message or on a call.

If the car or the battery turns out to be different from what was described, we tell you before doing any work. You can then accept the revised quote or decline it, subject to the cancellation and call-out terms below.

4. Arrival times

Our usual arrival time within JBR is 20–35 minutes from confirmation. For other areas the time depends on the drive from JBR, and we give you an estimate when you book.

Arrival times are estimates and are not a guarantee. Traffic, building access, parking restrictions and weather can change them. If we expect to arrive later than the time we gave you, we will tell you.

5. Your responsibilities

We need a few things from you to do the job safely and correctly. If we cannot reach the car or cannot work on it safely, we may have to rebook the visit, and the call-out terms below may apply.

You agree to:

  • Give accurate details of the car (make, model and year) and of its location.
  • Confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission for us to work on it.
  • Make sure the technician can reach the car safely, with enough room to open the bonnet or boot.
  • Arrange any building, security or parking permission the technician needs, such as visitor access to a basement car park.
  • Be present, or have someone present, with the key when the technician arrives.

6. Testing and advice

We test the battery before we recommend a replacement. If a jump start is enough, we will say so. If the test points to another cause, such as the alternator or the starter motor, we will tell you what we found.

A test result reflects the condition of the battery on the day of the test. It is not a prediction of how long a battery will last, and it does not replace a full diagnostic inspection at a workshop.

7. Fitting and battery registration

We fit a battery that matches the specification your car needs. Where the car requires the new battery to be registered or coded, we carry this out as part of the fitting. If a car needs a step that cannot be done where it is parked, we tell you before fitting.

A memory saver is used where possible to keep the car's settings while the battery is disconnected. On some cars, settings such as the clock or the automatic window function may still need resetting afterwards. This is normal and is not a fault.

8. Payment

Payment is due when the job is completed. We accept cash, card, and split payments through Tabby and Tamara. Payment is taken in person, and this website does not take payments. You receive an invoice showing the battery fitted and its warranty period.

A split payment is an agreement between you and Tabby or Tamara. Approval, instalments and late payment are governed by their terms, not ours. If they decline the payment, you will need to pay by another accepted method.

9. Warranty

Batteries we fit come with a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the battery. The warranty period that applies to your battery is stated on the invoice. Please keep the invoice, as we need it to deal with a warranty claim.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects confirmed by a test that we carry out. If a defect is confirmed within the warranty period, the remedy is repair or replacement of the battery. The warranty is in addition to the rights you have under UAE consumer protection law.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by an accident.
  • Misuse of the battery.
  • A faulty charging system in the vehicle.
  • Deep discharge caused by leaving lights or accessories switched on.
  • Incorrect installation by anyone other than us.
  • Tampering with the battery.

10. Old batteries

We take the old battery away for recycling unless you ask to keep it. If you want to keep it, tell the technician before the job starts.

11. Cancellations and call-outs

You can cancel at any time before the technician sets off, by phone or WhatsApp.

If a technician has already travelled to you and the job cannot go ahead, for example because you cancel, the car is not there or there is no access to it, a call-out charge may apply. You will be told about this when you book.

If we have to cancel or cannot attend, we will tell you as soon as we can.

12. Garage services through partners

Garage, towing and recovery services are carried out by partner workshops and recovery operators that we arrange for you. We pass them your name, number, car details and location so they can do the job, as described in our privacy policy.

You are given an estimate before any work starts. Small jobs may be done where the car is parked. For bigger jobs the car is collected, taken to the partner workshop and returned, all by arrangement with you.

The battery warranty in these terms applies only to batteries we fit. Ask about the warranty on any other work or parts when you receive the estimate.

13. Our liability

We take care with your vehicle. If you believe our work has caused damage, please tell us as soon as you notice it so that we can inspect the car.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for faults that existed before our visit, for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for delays outside our control, such as those caused by traffic, weather or building access.

Nothing in these terms limits or removes the rights you have under UAE consumer protection law.

14. Website content

The guides and other information on this website are general information for drivers. They are not a substitute for an inspection of your own car. Follow your vehicle handbook, and ask a qualified technician if you are unsure before working on a car yourself.

No prices are published on this website because they depend on the car and the battery it needs. We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is without errors or always available.

15. Intellectual property and trademarks

The text, design and layout of this website belong to JBR Battery or to those who have licensed material to us. You may view and share pages for personal use. You may not copy or reuse the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

All car and battery brand names, logos and model names are trademarks of their owners. They are used on this website only to identify products and describe compatibility. Their use does not mean that we are connected with, endorsed by or sponsored by those owners.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute that arises from these terms or from a service we provide.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it directly.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date shown on this page tells you when they were last revised. The terms that apply to a job are those published on the day you confirm it.

18. Contact us

For any question about these terms, a booking or a warranty claim, contact JBR Battery by phone or WhatsApp using the numbers shown on this website.
