Suspension alignment in JBR resets the car's geometry after a kerb strike, a hard speed bump or new suspension parts. A technician checks arms, bushes and ball joints where the car is parked. The alignment itself needs a workshop rig, so the car is collected, set up and returned. WhatsApp or call, 24/7.
What's included
- Inspection of control arms, bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends, drop links and shock absorbers for play and leaks.
- Replacement of worn or bent parts before any measurement, since alignment on loose joints does not hold.
- Four-wheel measurement of camber, caster, toe and thrust angle on a computerised rig.
- Adjustment to the manufacturer's figures, front and rear where the car has rear adjustment.
- Steering wheel centred, and the steering angle sensor reset where the car requires it.
- Printout of the readings before and after.
Signs you need it
- The steering wheel sits off-centre on a straight road.
- The car drifts to one side when you relax your grip.
- A clunk over speed bumps or when turning into a ramp.
- The inner or outer edge of a front tyre is worn smooth while the centre still has tread.
- The steering feels vague or wanders after hitting a kerb or pothole.
Suspension alignment: How it works
From first message to driving away usually takes under an hour.
Check for play
At your parking bay the technician rocks each wheel, levers the arms and looks at the bushes, boots and shock absorbers. Bent or loose parts are listed before the car moves.
Parts first, then geometry
At the workshop any worn arms, bushes or tie rod ends are replaced. Tyre pressures are set, sensors are clamped to all four wheels and the angles are adjusted to specification.
Road test and printout
The car is driven to confirm it tracks straight with the wheel centred. You get the before and after readings, and the car is returned to JBR.
Good to know in JBR
JBR car parks test suspension daily. Speed bumps on every level, sharp ramp lips and tight kerbs at the barriers all load the front arms and bushes at an angle. Heat does the rest, drying and cracking the rubber so a bush that looks fine has no stiffness left. That is why alignment here often will not hold until a worn part is changed. Low cars and cars on wide tyres show it first as inner edge wear.

Car was dead on P2 after three weeks away. Sent the tower and bay number on WhatsApp and the technician was at the car in about 25 minutes. He tested it first and showed me the printout before changing anything.

The dealership quoted me three days. These guys fitted an AGM battery in my building's basement the same evening and registered it to the car. Start-stop works again.

Honest. I was sure I needed a new battery. He jump started it, checked the alternator and told me the battery still had life in it, just drive it more. Didn't try to sell me anything.

Friday night on The Walk so it took closer to 40 minutes than 30, but they called to say so. Battery is in the boot on mine and he knew exactly where to go. Paid with Tabby.

Second time I've used them, different car. Same result: on time, clean job, terminals cleaned without me asking. I've saved the number.

Security at my cluster can be difficult with outside contractors. They told me exactly what to say to the gate and it went smoothly. Battery changed in twenty minutes.

Suspension alignment: common questions
What is the difference between suspension alignment and wheel alignment?
The measuring is the same. The difference is what comes before it. Wheel alignment is a routine adjustment on a healthy car. Suspension alignment starts with finding and replacing bent or worn parts after an impact or a repair, because the angles cannot be set correctly, or will not stay set, until that is done.
Do I need an alignment after replacing shock absorbers or control arms?
Yes, in nearly every case. Undoing a strut, an arm or a tie rod end changes camber or toe, even when the new part is identical. Driving on without resetting it wears the tyres quickly and can leave the steering wheel crooked.
Can alignment be done in my parking bay?
No. It needs a level lift, turn plates under the front wheels and sensors on all four, so it is a workshop job. What can be done in the bay is the inspection, which tells you if alignment alone will fix the problem or parts are needed first.
